Tonja Names Upcoming Album "The Heart Of Me"
Nashville, TN
Tonja has chosen the title "The Heart Of Me" for her debut album for Identical Entertaiment. Tonja thinks this is a fitting title because if you dig to the bottom of every song on the album this is what you will find, the heart of Tonja, who she is, where she came from, and who she wants to be. The title phrase comes from a line in one of the tracks on the album called "Just Like Him". The line in the song is, "Every word to every songs is a part me, it's "The Heart of Me".
The album is slated to be released later this summer online and then to retailers later this year. Stay tuned for information.

Tonja Plays Lynden, WA to Benefit Local Boys and Girls Club
Lynden, WA
Tonja traveled to Lynden, WA, just north of Seattle on the Canadian border, this past weekend to perform at "Cowboy Up for Kids", a benefit for the local Boys and Girls Club. The event was able to raise over $100,000 for the Club which provides a safe place for over 200 kids to be in the after-school hours. Each afternoon, members receive a snack, help with homework, a game room to play in, opportunity to play in organized outside games, and use of the Club’s laptop computers.
On Friday afternoon, Tonja spent time with the some of the kids mentoring them in the art of songwriting. During this time, she and the kids were able to write a song about some of their favorite things about the Club and its staff. The song's title was "Thank You".
The next evening, Tonja sung a few of her original songs at the benefit and pulled all the kids who she had worked with the day before up on stage and performed their song. This turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening and Tonja's entire weekend.
Tonja was pleased to be apart of the event and would like to thank all involved in the event and Jim and Andy Clay, who invited her, for their hospitality while there. She looks forward to returning sometime in the future to help with future events.

Identical Launch a Success
Nashville, TN
Tonja was honored to be apart of the evening, as Identical Entertainment officially introduced itself to the music industry Saturday, October the 18th at the famed Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN. There could be no better place than the setting of this world renowned music venue to display the creative idea of Sheila Bauer and Kathy Aberson, founders of Identical Entertainment. The Bluebird Cafe has gained a reputation worldwide for presenting the best original country and acoustic music usually preformed by the person who originally composed the music and this fits perfectly with Identical’s mindset of promoting the originality of their artist/songwriters.
The room was filled with family, friends, and music industry executives, as Sheila and Kathy presented Tonja and the newest addition to Identical Entertainment, songwriter Greg Johnson. Greg, an accomplished writer already, has had songs recorded by many artists and will have Identical Entertainments first cut, “ Seven Sundays” recently recorded by Clay Walker and to be released on Clay’s album in early 2009. Sheila, who runs the day to day operations of Identical, sees the combination of Tonja and Greg as a perfect lineup to bring the industry a new yet experienced touch that will build a firm foundation for the future of Identical for years to come.
To add to the evening, there were a few distinguished guests to help celebrate this special occasion. Tony Amey, an Atlanta R&B artist, along with Tonja’s friends and co writers, Rob Harris and Mark Narmore helped make the show a more memorable night. Tony’s soulfulness exemplified Identical’s promotion of talent across all genres and their slogan “Note The Difference” while Rob’s clever writing and tasteful guitar playing shows their support of pure talent that often is left undiscovered. Mark, an industry veteran, gives a view of where the company hopes to be in the near future. With several number one hits such as, “Moon Over Georgia” by Shenandoah and “That’s What I Love About Sundays” by Craig Morgan, Mark testified that with hard work, determination, and God’s mercy all things are possible.
Tonja was pleased with the evening and hopes this is just the beginning of all the celebration to come for both her and Identical as a team.

Tonja Signs Deal with Identical Entertainment
Nashville, TN
Tonja celebrated an important milestone in her music career July 15, 2008 when she signed her first publishing deal with Identical Entertainment. This day, the beginning of a dream Tonja has spent years working towards is an important milestone in her music career. No stranger to the hard work, sacrifice, ups and downs of the business the artist/songwriter is now well on her way!
Though new to the publishing business, Identical Entertainment is already making a tremendous name for itself in the Nashville Music scene. With a cut by country music artist Clay Walker, the company is off to a tremendous beginning. Owners and twin sisters Sheila Bauer and Kathy Aberson are committed to making an awesome impression in the business, thus their slogan “Note the difference”. As they prepare to celebrate the companies launch October 18th at Nashville’s Bluebird Café, Sheila says they are proud and excited to be part of this journey with Tonja.
Though she still has to pinch herself on occasion to see if this is all real, Tonja is very excited about her future with Identical. In addition to being a full time writer for the Publishing Company she is also looking forward to going into the studio to begin working on her next album.
Thankful for the blessing of this opportunity Tonja reflects on her favorite bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” As she always has, Tonja continues to put her hope and trust in Him and looks forward to a long and successful career in the music business and with Identical Entertainment. She’s ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work.

The Brown Rose
Franklin, TN
Tonja Rose moved to Nashville to make her dreams of becoming a singer/ songwriter a reality. As if continuing her success in the art of songwriting and performing music weren’t enough to keep her busy, she joined forces with the talents of Lindsey Brown to express their passion for art in the aesthetic form of each signature, hand-crafted piece of art these women create under the name of their Franklin-based business endeavor, The Brown Rose.
Both women bring together their passion for design and artistic propensity to display their work on and off canvas. Brown and Rose can be privately commissioned for a custom signature hand-painted art pieces or a whole house makeover.
'I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength' is more than just a favorite verse to artists Lindsey Brown and Tonja Rose, it’s their motto and artistic premise that drives their love for creating art. The aesthetic harmony of The Brown Rose portrays more than your typical living room art piece and more than the next decorating project, it’s a business launched upon the true art of friendship and driven by a passion of the true Artistic Creator.

Tonja With Country Music Legend George Jones
Franklin, TN
When country star hopefuls make the move to Music City looking for stardom, they’re taking a chance on a dream that may or may not come true. Some are forced to return home or choose another road to follow. Others hone their abilities and never stop until they reach success.
Tonja has gained respect as a singer opening shows for country stars like Trace Adkins, Pam Tillis, JoDee Messina, and to name a few, but Thursday, June 10th, Tonja experienced a career hi-lite when she performed for almost 1000 fans at the farm of George Jones in Franklin, TN during his annual Fan Club Party during CMA Music Festival week. She was personally invited to open the show for Jones and join him in entertaining his fans and her new ones!
“I remember listening as a youngster to “The Race Is On”, “He Stopped Loving Her Today”, and “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes?” and loving them even before I knew who George Jones was. And now, here I am opening for him at his fan club party! How about that?” Rose commented as she took the stage.
During her set, Tonja performed original songs she co-wrote, including “For You,” “Let Me Show You How,” and the emotionally filled crowd favorite “When Together Falls Apart” She also paid homage to artist that influenced her as a singer/songwriter, Don Williams and Kitty Wells, by adding her own flavor to “Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good” and “Honky Tonk Angels.”
On top of performing, Tonja also is a very promising songwriter on Music Row in Nashville, TN. She has been featured with some of Nashville’s best songwriters during writer’s nights at music industry clubs like the Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, Bell Buckle Café and the Square Market & Café. Just a few of the songwriters that she has rubbed elbows and written with include Dave Gibson (“Ships That Don’t Come In” by Joe Diffie, “Lonely and Gone” by Montgomery-Gentry), Phil Everly (of The Everly Brothers), Gene Nelson who is credited with writing Kathy Mattea’s career song (18 Wheels and A Dozen Roses) and other hits for artists such as; Glen Campbell (I Have You), Doug Stone (Jukebox With A Country Song), Rascal Flatts (This Everyday Love) among others. So you can see that Tonja keeps some very good company and is well on her way into a very promising career in country music.
Expect to be hearing more from and about this small town girl, Tonja Rose. Big things happen to those who dream big and Tonja certainly has that covered!
